Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Combine butter, sugar, chocolate and vanilla; blend well. Add eggs and beat in. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill dough 30 minutes. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are set. Remove from oven and immediately press 1 Hershey kiss in center of cookie. Cool on rack. Makes 4 dozen.{$7e}(Original recipe for 12)
